FINISHED CARPENTRY - ANCHORAGE, ALASKA

       This project performed for Pastor William Nicholson at his residence located in south

     Anchorage demonstrates excellence and high end quality work by Nushagak Consultants. 

       The oak entry bench was built entirely from an idea to add comfort in the entrance way of

     the home. The framework of the bench is made out of 2x4's with 1/2" AC plywood to form

     the design and to create a solid base. The finished top is left over oak hard wood flooring

     from a past project. The finished apron and upper trim is all oak hardwood. The legs are

     pre-manufactured.

       The stairrail that was not adding any aesthetics to the home was a painted white metal

      railing. The new staircase oak handrails, shoerails, newels and balusters were purchase

      individually, customized to fit on site, stained and varnished. The landing threads, risers

      and nosings were made from laminated floor products, included was a new laminated

      floor for this project which replaced a white carpet in the living room.
